AWARD SYSTEM OF POINTS AT ALL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWS
SANCTIONED BY THE KENNEL CLUB OF PAKISTAN
The Points on a Championship Dog Show
1. The points will only be awarded to dogs of 6 months of age and above. Dogs will compete in the following classes:
Dogs will compete in the following class
a. Minor Puppy : 6 to under 9 months of age
b. Puppy : 9 to under 12 months of age
c. Junior: 12 to under 18 months of age
d. Intermediate: 18 to under 24 months
e. Open: 9 months and over.
NOTE: It will be the discretion of the owner to enter dog either in its own class as above or enter in the open
class. However, the dog will be entered in only one class.
2. The FIRST place winner of each class will compete for BEST OF WINNERS DOG. Only the BEST OF
WINNERS DOG will be awarded points depending on the category of the breed and the number of dogs entered. The same applies to the WINNERS BITCH.
3. The Best of Winners Dog and the Best of Winners Bitch will then compete for Best of Breed. After the Best
of Breed, the Best of Opposite Sex in Breed will be selected.
4. The Winners Dog and the Winners Bitch will compete for Best of Breed Competition. After the Best of Breed,
the Reserve Best of Breed and the Best of Opposite Sex in Breed will be selected .
5. Each Best of Breed winner will compete for Best in Group and the Best in Group will then compete for the Best
in Show and Reserve Best in Show.
6. Puppies winning their class will compete for Best Pup in Show and Reserve Best Pup in Show.
7. A dog will get championship points only for adjudged Best of Winners Dog or Best of Winners Bitch. The
maximum and minimum number of points that a dog can win in a breed competition is five (5) points and one (1) point respectively and points will be awarded on the basis of the following scale:-

5. To become a CHAMPION, a dog will need fifteen (15) points won under at least three (3) different judges.
6. To become a GRAND CHAMPION, a dog will need twenty-five (25) points won under at least five (5) different
judges.
7. To become a HALL OF FAME, a dog will need thirty five (35) points won under at least six (6) different judges.
NOTE: Each year a " DOG OF THE YEAR" will be declared. For counting award points for "DOG OF THE YEAR',
besides Championship Points earned, ten points will be given for each "Best in Show" and five points for each 'Reserve Best in Show". However these points will NOT be counted for Championship. The dog which earns maximum points during the calendar year will be declared 'DOG OF THE YEAR" |
