The Kennel Club of Pakistan (KCP) is a non-profit making club and as laid down in the
Memorandum Part I para 2 of its constitution, its surpluses cannot not be used for any
purpose other than the objectives of the club and welfare of dogs. As shrined in its
constitution, KCP is endeavoring, in every way, to promote the general welfare and
improvement of Dogs, Dog Shows, Working Trials, Field Trials, Obedience Classes and
Tests.

The club is responsible for framing and enforcing the rules governing conduct of member,
exhibition of dogs and conduct of all Shows, Trials and tests. It also is responsible for
arbitration in case of dispute.

The membership of the Kennel Club of Pakistan (KCP) is restricted to five hundred
members. Initially, a person is enrolled as a Temporary Member and after one year is
eligible to become a Permanent Member. Permanent Members of the Club elect Managing
Committee for three years. Article 4 of the KCP's Constitution allows those Permanent
Members who cannot attend the General Meeting to send their votes by ballot post.

It is the sole prerogative of the Managing Committee to approve Permanent Membership. As
laid down in its Article 5 of its constitution, the Managing Committee, out of the Temporary
members, approves Permanent Members, based on their active interest to promote the
affairs of the Kennel Club of Pakistan.

As per its Articles of Association, the KCP has a Patron-in-Chief, Vice Presidents,
President and a Secretary. The Managing Committee elects offices of the Club for three
years term. These officers are ex-officio members of the Managing Committee. The
Permanent Members of the Club elect Managing Committee for a term of three years.

The Managing Committee of the Club is the most important Committee. The Article of
Association 3 gives powers to the Managing Committee to manage all the affairs of the Club.
Article 11 gives the Managing Committee to constitute any sub-committees to facilitate
disposal of the Club's business. Article 12 of the Constitution allows the Managing
Committee to delegate any of its powers and functions to any bun-committee and likewise,
allows it to revoke or amend, at any time, such delegation. However, this article forbids it to
delegate its power to suspend or disqualify any person. These powers can only be exercised
by the Managing Committee.

The term of office of the current Managing Committee is up to July 2011 and its
